About Me

So who am i?

Most days (and plenty of late nights), I’m helping run a lively outdoor restaurant and bar just a block from the ocean in Virginia Beach. And yes, I’ll die on this hill: it’s one of the best beach towns out there! Between the salty breeze, all the greenery, and the rhythm of locals and tourists mixing over fresh seafood and fresh squeezed crushes, it’s a place full of life.

But behind the beachy vibes, there’s constant problem-solving. As an assistant GM, I’m always asking: How can this run smoother? How can we guide guests through the space without having to say a word? I think a lot about how design shows up in real life: like creating natural flow between service areas or improving a guest’s experience with just a subtle visual cue or even creating a space that just feels good. It’s UX in the wild, and I’ve been unknowingly obsessed with it for years. This is what pushed me to complete a 700+ hour bootcamp at Springboard over a year ago.

That same curiosity shows up at home, too. As a husband and dad to two young daughters, I think a lot about how we communicate without words. How to model emotional intelligence. How to help others feel seen, understood, and supported. These questions in parenting, in leadership, and in design fuel my passion for creating experiences that make life feel a little easier and more connected.

I’m now transitioning into the world of product design. For me, it’s not a pivot, but a natural evolution of everything I already love people, systems, and meaningful moments. I want to build digital tools that bring clarity, calm, and intention into everyday life. Whether it's a journal that supports mindful parenting, an app that simplifies restaurant staff training, or a system that makes work feel just a little less chaotic. My goal is to create experiences as intuitive and thoughtful as the best real world interactions.

don’t worry there’s more

I love getting out and exploring new places, it resets my brain. Whether it’s a weekend road trip or flying to the city I born in, there’s always something to learn or be inspired by. I get a lot of ideas just from seeing how other people live, eat, and move through the world. Travel keeps me curious and open, which shows up in my work too.

Cooking is my kind of therapy. It’s a mix of challenge, creativity, and comfort all at once. I like the flow of it…chopping things up, tasting as I go, seeing how everything comes together. What makes it special for me is being able to add my own twist to whatever I’m making. It’s one of the places I feel most relaxed and creative.

Raising my two daughters is a daily adventure and a constant learning curve. It pushes me to be more patient, more understanding, and reminds me how much I’m growing right alongside them. Some days it’s tough, some days it’s hilarious, and most days involve a lot of Frozen and early 2000s R&B (clean versions, of course). They’ve taught me a lot about emotional intelligence... and how to sing every Elsa song on command.

nurture, iterate, grow

If you were to ask anyone who knows me right now they would tell you all I talk about is what’s growing in my garden right now. There’s something satisfying about planting a seed and seeing it take off, even when it takes a few tries. My butternut squash is going wild, and I’m excited to see how my first fig tree turns out. Gardening’s teaches me to be patient and the value of sticking with something, even when it’s a slow grow.

hospitality taught me how to read a room. parenthood taught me how to listen.
